As part of the French \u201cFrance Relance\u201d Plan<\/strong>, the French Treasury launched a few months ago a call for applications to select export projects led by French companies in the field of essential services carbon reduction<\/strong>. With a budget of 10 million euros<\/strong> from the \u201cFonds d’\u00e9tudes et d’Aide au Secteur Priv\u00e9\u201d (Study and Assistance Fund for the Private Sector), a total of 8.8 million euros of aid<\/strong> will be granted to the 19 winners of the call for projects<\/strong>, including Tesalys<\/strong>, selected from a total of 56 applications. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project’s goal is to implement an on-site system for treating infectious waste limiting the CO2 emissions linked to the treatment of this type of waste<\/strong>, i.e., its transport by heavy vehicles and then its incineration in plants. Tesalys’ innovation<\/strong> integrates an on-site waste shredding and sterilization process that reduces the volume of waste by 65 to 80% and saves 0.46 teqCO2 per ton of waste treated.<\/strong> This solution meets the environmental and infectious risk control challenges<\/strong> in a context of health crisis and has significant potential for large-scale deployment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
