un riesgo infeccioso particularmente alto debido<\/strong> a la presencia de elementos pat\u00f3genos, a veces en altas concentraciones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Algunas instalaciones tambi\u00e9n pueden producir desechos biocontaminados que contengan o puedan contener microorganismos altamente pat\u00f3genos, tales como:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Microorganismos de las clases II, III o IV (niveles de bioseguridad 2, 3 y 4)<\/li><li>Agentes transmisibles no convencionales (ATNC) \u2014 priones<\/li><li>Organismos modificados gen\u00e9ticamente (OGM)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 residuos de an\u00e1lisis, investigaci\u00f3n o producci\u00f3n?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>En las actividades anal\u00edticas, de investigaci\u00f3n o de producci\u00f3n, los residuos con riesgo infeccioso se denominan m\u00e1s com\u00fanmente \u00abresiduos de actividades sanitarias con riesgo infeccioso y asimilados\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los residuos biol\u00f3gicamente contaminados procedentes de actividades de an\u00e1lisis, investigaci\u00f3n o producci\u00f3n est\u00e1n compuestos por una gran cantidad de material de un solo uso que debe destruirse:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Especificidad de los residuos de actividades sanitarias con riesgo infeccioso de laboratorio\/investigaci\u00f3n<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>En estos establecimientos existen <strong>residuos de actividades sanitarias con riesgo infeccioso<\/strong> l\u00edquidos como sangre, medios de cultivo, gelosa y residuos de m\u00e1quinas de an\u00e1lisis automatizadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En general, los residuos de laboratorio se envasan en bolsas (esterilizables en autoclave o no), contenedores de cart\u00f3n para residuos de actividades sanitarias con riesgo infeccioso o bidones.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Inactivaci\u00f3n previa<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En muchos pa\u00edses, la legislaci\u00f3n, los reglamentos o las recomendaciones locales para la eliminaci\u00f3n de los residuos de actividades sanitarias con riesgo infeccioso procedentes de actividades de an\u00e1lisis, investigaci\u00f3n o producci\u00f3n, exigen a menudo una manipulaci\u00f3n previa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En estos casos, los residuos se descontaminan previamente en un autoclave esterilizador. El proceso de esterilizaci\u00f3n en autoclave reduce la carga microbiana de entrada; no obstante, dado que los residuos de actividades sanitarias con riesgo infeccioso suelen envasarse en contenedores cerrados herm\u00e9ticamente que no permiten la correcta penetraci\u00f3n del vapor, no se garantiza su descontaminaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Puede utilizarse el sistema Tesalys STERIPLUS<sup>TM<\/sup>&nbsp;en lugar de los esterilizadores convencionales para destruir\/inactivar los residuos de laboratorio.
