French aid for pre-treatment machines: “FRANCE RELANCE” plan

Established a few months ago, the “France Relance” plan, set up by the French government in response to the Coronavirus epidemic crisis, is a direct support device for any acquisition project of pre-treatment systems by disinfection of infectious waste.

The main goal here is to reduce the road transport flows of infectious waste and thus support health establishments willing to adopt an alternative with a real health and environmental advantage. It is also a springboard to progress on the road to recycling.

The aid granted by the ADEME (French Environment and Energy Management Agency) is intended for establishments producing infectious waste as part of human medicine as well as for private service providers managing infectious waste for the needs of several producers.

This financial aid represents up to 45% of the investment of the establishments concerned. The rate of aid granted is different depending on the size of the establishment:

  • 25% of the investment for establishments with more than 250 employees
  • 35% of the investment for establishments with between 50 and 250 employees
  • 45% of the investment for establishments with less than 50 employees

The rate is increased by 15% for the French overseas departments and Corsica.

A preliminary study demonstrating the benefits of installing a disinfection device to reduce the flow of infectious waste must be carried out for French establishments only (all of France and the French overseas departments and territories) in order to check the eligibility for the ” France Relance ” plan aid.

This aid represents a major opportunity for the development of on-site waste treatment systems, a means for healthcare establishments to move towards economic and ecological solutions while adapting to the new needs linked to the current health context.

Eliminating infectious risk at the source and without transport delays, these are needs that Tesalys is committed to satisfying by offering state-of-the-art treatment solutions for all types of establishments producing infectious waste.
